Bestie's Birthday~

26th of March is JR's birthday and we "celebrated" it together yesterday buy lunching at Todai in Marina Bay Sands. According to JR, yesterday did not feel like a birthday to her. She said it's probably due to our *ahem* "agedness" that we become more and more casual about our birthday. It's no longer a big deal and you just want to keep it simple. No more elaborated parties and making yourself feel special. The scary part is I actually secretly feel the same way. Age is indeed catching up on me.

Anyway, I dolled myself up yesterday as I rarely get a full day off. I even wore coloured contacts which were purchased last year but have been left lying around.

My outfit for the day: Black dress from wildpixielight and cardigan from H&M. Love the dress~
 My makeup for the day.

JR came over and picked me up before driving to Marina Bay Sands for our buffet lunch. I think the taste of the food at Todai is definitely much better than those offered by other buffet resaturants, including those from fancy hotels.

Birthday Girl!~
Me! Taken by the birthday girl. :)
JR's first helping. She said the duck with apples on the bottom left corner is awesome!
But too bad I cannot eat duck. :(
My first helping. I love love love their sushi. Fell in love with them when I first went to the restaurant.
Especially love their sushi called Volcano. It's really spicy!
JR's second helping. We called it expensive "mixed vegetables rice a.k.a chap cai ben".
My second helping. I like the sweet vinegar pork.
JR's third helping.
My third helping. Haha it's my turn to eat "expensive mixed vegetables rice".
 JR's fourth helping.
The pizze is really quite good and according to JR, the korean seafood pancake (the small round disc on the bottom left corner) is really good.
My fourth and last helping. By this time, I was really too full to carry on so I had to forgo those seafood. I was joking to JR about how I am not destined to "live rich" because the food I enjoy and love is cheap. I don't fancy the expensive delicacy like oyster, prawns, abalone & shark fins etc.
JR's seafood helping. She's such a pro at eating prawns!! She doesn't need to use her hands AT ALL to peel them ok! All that she needed are a fork and a knife to remove the shells. Truly a prawn expert.
JR's dessert. :)
Mine!~ I really like the strawberry roll. It did not taste too sweet. *thumbs up*
Picture with the birthday girl. We were camwhoring in public and these two men who happened to walk past us stared at us and I think they were having a hard time holding back their laughter. :)

Another shot.

After lunch, we basically just began some random shopping. We visited Sephora and after that we went to Orchard because JR needed to change the perfume which she purchased from Penthalgon in Ion. We shopped around a little before heading back home because her family wanted to have dinner with her.

Just wanted to end this post by wishing my dear friend HAPPY BIRTHDAY once again even though it would have been belated by now. Very importantly, stay happy and healthy always. :)
